Small Business ERTC Payroll Credit | Eligibility & 941-X Return Services Updated

The service allows small business owners to check their eligibility for tax rebates under the CARES Act, and the firm states that the streamlined process can be completed in as little as 15-minutes. For those companies that do qualify, the consultancy also offers assistance with preparing and filing amended 941 forms.

The latest update from ERC Tax Group comes in response to the confusion that may still exist surrounding eligibility for such credits. Given the current economic climate, the firm’s goal is to ensure that small businesses receive the relief packages that they are entitled to.

When it was first introduced in 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act allowed small businesses to opt for either a Payment Protection Program (PPP) loan, or an employee retention tax credit (ERTC). Amendments to the act in 2021 increased the amount of tax credits being paid, as well as allowed businesses that had received a PPP loan to apply for ERTC.

ERC Tax Group believes that many small companies remain unaware of these changes, and their revised prequalification services are designed to alert owners to the credits that are still available. The firm states that both full-time and part-time staff can be considered, with the potential for up to $26,000 per W-2 employee in rebates.

When using the updated service, businesses are asked to complete a 10-part questionnaire. Relevant documentation, such as 941 returns and PPP loans, can then be uploaded via a secure portal, following which ERC Tax Group consultants can offer advice on the credits that a business is eligible for.
